I know I must have been insane. I bought a new G19 with an 8 # trigger (it is nice and crisp and I got a great deal). However, I thing I would like to change it to the standard 5.5 trigger pull. What parts do I need and how do I do it? Thanks.
do youhave a 8# connector in right now? or do you have a NY-1 spring with a 5# connector?

I don't know. I think its an 8# connector. the gun is factory stock LEO model. The box is marked 8 pounds. I liked the trigger because it is very crisp but when compared to my 27 (with a 5.5) I realized the error of my foolish ways.
You most likely have the standard connector with a NY1 trigger spring. Changing the spring to a stock spring is easy, quick and inexpensive. Any Glock dealer with a certified armorer can do it for you.

if you look at the left side of the connector, you should see a "+" if it's a 8# connector. or do you see a coil spring connected to the trigger housing?

Yes the connector has an + on it and it has the coil spring in the housing.
just have to replace the 8# connector with a 5# connector.
the 5# connector will not have any markings.
the 3.5# connector will have a "-"
