Does anybody know of any good nice looking lasers for the G19? ***** Congrats on your G19! The only readily available green laser for pistols that I know of, is the Uni-Max, by LaserMax. http://www.lasersales.com/index.php/cPath/42_70_343?osCsid=4632c915b9ecdf6b1307a5442b21a61d We have a red beam, internal LaserMax in Judy's G19, and after thousands of rounds, are completely happy with it! Ditto for the LaserMax in my G21! http://www.lasersales.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Uni-Max&osCsid=4632c915b9ecdf6b1307a5442b21a61d Good luck! --Ray Jerkdog 01-15-2008, 21:19 Here's my G19 with the CTC laser installed (originally posted for another topic, but you get the point). I just dont like bulkiness... This laser i found is for a different gun but I was wondering if anybody knew if there was something like this out for the glock 19... here it is: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/2097/p22laseroq8.jpg http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4659/766007nc4.jpg Its for the Walther P22 but it looks real nice, it looks like its a part of the gun... has anybody seen anything like this for Glock guns? Jerkdog 01-15-2008, 23:20 Maybe you were looking at the Streamlight TLR-1 on the front rail? So here's some pics w/o the tac light. The CTC is really small, adds no weight to the front of the gun, but it does add some bulk to the grip. But for me the little extra width in the web between the thumb and forefinger fits my hand great. Plus the CTC is touch sensitive, so it turns on when I pick up the gun...no having to eff around with switches, it's good to go. M2 Carbine 01-16-2008, 09:42 FWIW this is RedDawn's Crimson Trace equipped G19. He was involved in a nightime road shooting. This made him realize that he needed a better low light sighting systen than iron sights. Having shot my laser equipped guns he bought the CT for his carry G19. Personally I don't like Glocks and especially the grip. I like the Glock's grip better with the CT installed. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/Bell406_206B/Glocklasergrip-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/Bell406_206B/JerrysG19CTlaser.jpg sappy13 01-16-2008, 19:19 On my g22 i have a armalaser installed on it. it looks almost like the one in the picture you posted. the nice thing about this type is that it has a sensor that goes inside the trigger guard that will activate the laser for 12 seconds every time you touch it. only bad part is that most holsters do not fit it. http://www.armalaser.com/Glock-GLOCK.html http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8762/myg22dj0.th.jpg (http://img247.imageshack.us/my.php?image=myg22dj0.jpg) Zodiac 01-19-2008, 22:53 I just installed the laser max green on my G19. Looks great! Very bright and slightly bigger pattern than my wifes internal lasermax on her G26 http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/goodcraig/2.jpg matemike 01-20-2008, 00:46 Let us know what u get/got AzGlock. I'm in the same boat as you...looking for a good laser sight, trying to avoid bulkiness upfront so the gun still fits in my holster. bicolano_glockr 01-22-2008, 09:23 I just installed the laser max green on my G19. I was hesitant to purchase the lasermax unimount laser since it says on their site that it requires a minimum of 1.5 inches of rail length which i don't think the G19 has. But seeing your picture here... hmm... does it fit properly? I mean, the rail locks...? 8541/9999 01-22-2008, 10:35 It will lock on the groove on a Glock 19. wilson45 01-22-2008, 22:48 What good is any laser if you have to turn it on manually after drawing from a holster? In times of danger, that move and mental thought could be deadly. I know guys who have said that it seemed like forever to get to their trigger in these circumstances much less find the "on" button on a laser. I have Crimson Trace on my 1911 that can be left on and then activitated when I put my hand on the grip and will admit to having Lasermax on my G19 only because I think the Crimson Trace look awful on the Glock. You should just shoot? 2) So, you knowingly bought a worthless laser for your G19, based on aesthetics? Do you know what your sin is? It's pride. Just messing with your head, bud! :tongueout: --Ray Little Joe 01-23-2008, 02:19 I'm not sure what holster you will be using. I like my G27 in a Smart Carry holster, but the laser on the Crimson Trace juts out from the frame defeating the slim profile. I have a G36 that I've ordered a Lasermax for that will allow me to keep the profile slim. If you use a Smart Carry this is something you will want to take into consideration. I like the CT a lot, but not with a Smart Carry. 8541/9999 01-23-2008, 09:46 Wilson, Suppose for a second not all the situations you get in will be a quick draw situation. Do you want your laser to come on and allert everyone in a dark enviroment to your position prior to you having a firing solution? For those that say well only gross motor skills can be used in a gun fight, That depends on your level of training, how well you handle stress ect. Remember either pulling or pressing your trigger and not disturbing you sight picture/sight alignment is not a gross motor skill . You are able to do this due to thousands of rounds of dryfire and live fire practice. The same for the laser activation, or taking off a mechanical safety, If its quick draw and the BG is so close that its draw and fire then no laser in the world will make a difference at that point. If you are caught in that situation you need to re evaluate how you do business. How you evaluate your situational awareness and tactics might need to be reconsidered vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
