Kel-Tec in Cocoa

I'm going to be in Florida for a while visiting, and I was wondering if I could buy a Kel-Tec pistol from the manufacturer in Cocoa? Trijicon (night sights) are based in MI and you can buy their sights at the factory .....
Maybe it's a dumb question, but I had to ask.

In most states, you have to be a state resident to purchase a handgun. FL is one of them.

Not just in most states... in ALL states, due to federal law.

To purchase, and take delivery of, a handgun in an over-the-counter transaction you must be a resident of the same state as the seller. (ATF FAQ B2 (http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#b2))

You can purchase the handgun from an out of state seller and have it shipped to a FFL in your state of residence. (ATF FAQ B3 (http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#b3))

Also, the Kel-Tec website has the answer to your question on the FAQ page (Kel-Tec FAQs (http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/faq.php))Q : Where can I buy a Kel-Tec firearm?
A : Any local dealer can order a Kel-Tec from their normal distributor, and chances are, they already have some in stock.

Q : Can I stop by the factory and get a tour, or test fire some Kel-Tec firearms?
A : No. Kel-Tec does not offer tours and does not allow customers to shoot at the factory range.
Special arrangements can sometimes be made for Military, Law enforcement, or Educational purposes only.

Thanks for the information. I've been trying to get a P-3AT HC from my FFL since July. He tells me he has my order out but nothing has come up. None of the internet stores I check seem to have any. I wanted to know if I can purchase a gun at the manufacturer. Having them deliver it to my FFL is no problem. I just want to know if I can go to the plant and order/pay for one.

no you can't............. but come to the Titusville Police Hall of Fame's pro shop....best prices in Brevard and they carry a full line of Kel Tecs ( and lots more!)

KelTec does have a customer service area and you can take your gun in for night sights or minor work. They're nice people.
