Rail mounted tac light... Glock, Surefire, Streamlight? Beam shots?

Anyone have any experience with any of these lights? Which has the nicest looking beam? The Glock incandescent bulb leaves this ringy kinda blobby looking beam. Anyone got beam shots?

You can adjust the light on the Glock light.

For the money, GLOCK's tac light is the way to go. I bought was as a toy, because I have no real use for one but I like it.

Figure out how much you will use it before you spend big bucks on a light.

Here's a couple of pics of my G19 with the Streamlight TLR-1. The Glock light just looked too clunky IMHO. You'll also see the CTC laser, which was worth every penny BTW (but that's another post).

I'll snap some pics of the beam later tonite (after the wife goes to bed, otherwise she'll wonder why I'm walking around the house with my Glock).

Wylde Dime, in your picture it looks like there are two parts, a mount and the light. Does it have some kind of a quick disconnect so it can be holstered without the light? Is there a holster that allows for tactical lights?

I agree. the Glock Light does look like it belongs.
I didn't like the TLR-1. It is metal! It needs to be screwed on (the Glock Light just easily clips on and off), and the damn thing came on in a fanny pack, something the Glock Lights have never done.
Haven't tried the Surefire yet.

It is all one piece but it does come off quick...like 1 second quick. There are two levers toward the muzzle, you push them down and the light slides right off.

For me, the price was right and it's only mounted on the G19 when it's "resting" in the bedside table (she comes off for carry). Anyway, here's some pics of the beam from about 20 feet (from the hallway to the front door and garage door). For comparison I've attached a pic of the beam from the Leatherman Monarch 500 I got for Christmas from my sister in law (pleasantly surprised with the performance). 145 lumens for the Leatherman and 80 for the TLR-1, if you're interested.

With a 33-round magazine, that G19 of Judy's sure pins down that corner! :supergrin:

LOL, you thought the Glock Tac Light looked clunky? That Streamlight looks like you've attached a wrench or something to your G19.

I just got the x300 a few weeks ago.... I love it, 2 1/2 hours worth of battery time, plus 110 lumens..... I'll try to take a pic. tonight if my camera won't suck...

Don't like the Streamlight on the gun. The Surefire looks very nice and the beam has that Surefire quality to it. But to me... it just seems the Glock light belongs. Fugly light for a ugly gun?

I think that the Glock light looks beautiful on the Glocks. They are so simple to attach and use, are very lightweight, and have the same design as the Glocks.
I remember everyone saying that Glocks were the ugliest thing too, when they first came on the market.

I have never seen one in person, but I don't like the looks of the way it attaches. It just looks flimsey.

go for the surefire x200 or better yet, the new x300. it has better specs than the previous x200 series. here's my x200a attached on my trusty g19
