They are made by Pachmayr and the model is Compac Professional. I was surprised that they still sold these... here's the link (http://www.pachmayr.com/pachmayr/revolver.htm#Compac Professional).
edit: better link

Actually a few gun stores I frequent in Tampa Mexican carry their revolvers. I can think of 3 guys right off. Another 1 keeps a glock on his hip and 638 in his back pocket...no holster. With the heavy trigger pull, this would be the only gun I'd consider Mexican carring.

I too would really have no issue "mexican" carrying a DA revolver, but usually carry in a holster because I don't want to have to worry about the gun moving around.
Nice, how does it move?
both wiggle around, and when you try to draw. does it get caught?

It actually doesn't move or wiggle around on me. I drop it in at the small of my back (4:30 to 5:00) and pull it horizontally forward to "lock it in" (about 3:30). You can see from the picture that the grip extends over and outward from my waistband... my belt is above the cylinder... so up down movement is contained. To remove… reach back open palm and grab the grip, slide the gun horizontally a few inches backward then draw. Doesn't get caught for me.
It works for me when I don't have time or don't want to be bothered by pulling out the good leather. Who knows, I may have a J-Frame dent in my butt that facilitates this type of carry after so many years. But there is still hope for me... I recently rediscovered pocket carry and will probably be doing more of that given similar circumstances.

Can be done with a Glock.....Just make sure there is no round in the chamber....You have to quickly rack the slide upon pulling your Glock.

That's the only type of gun I'd do that with either...

Thanks, Glockanatorrrrr! I actually picked up a Don Hume pocket holster a week or so ago and have been working with it. Here are some pics:

My brother in-law carrys his issue J frame that way, when off duty.
I tease him about it, but he says it has worked for him for over 20 years.
