Hey gang.
I have shot a friends Beretta with Ameriglo Operators and liked them very much.
Does anyone have experience with these new style "Pro" series?
FYI, I would put them on a new G27 that would be carried from time to time.
Thanks!:wavey:

The new Pro Series rear differs from our Classic/Operator rear in a few ways. The new Pro rear extends back toward the end of the slide (but does not hang over), extending sight radius. The face of the sight is cut at an angle, reducing glare, and the notch is the widest on the market for a tritium sight (.180" compared to .150" standard). The Pro rear install easily with most sight tools designed for Glocks. The Pro rear is available Operator style (tritium with black outlines), Classic style (tritium with white outlines), and Target style (flat black/serrated).

Thanks for the info :wavey:
Follow up question: On the Ameriglo website, they are listed as $99.99, does that include a front tritium sight as well? I only see the rear in the picture.
Thanks!

yes, price includes front & rear.
I wanted green/yellow operators for my next Glock, but now I want these!
What a great addition to an already excellent line up of sights!
Go AmeriGlo!

I have the pro target rear and like it....The notch is really wide so I paired it up with a .125 wide front serrated blade....Hopefully it will work out for me when I start shooting steel madness....If not Im going sevigny
Oh BTW: I see now that the pro rear sights include a set screw...I guess I got one of the first ones as mine doesnt have one doh!

Do the set screw models have an advantage? Thanks.
Set screw rears are genereally easier to install as they do not require a sight pusher. They are also known to come loose if you do not locktite the set screw.

I hope I get the kind without the set screw. I have a Glock sight pusher and was expecting to use it. Little worried, crud.

Im not sure why you would want one without a set screw....The sights are exactly the same but the set screw is just added security...I wish I got one with a set screw

Yes, I misunderstood Danny I think. I took it as: the models with set screws depend on the screw to secure them into the slide, opposed to forcing them in with a tool (which i would prefer). I have since learned otherwise. Ordered em and will posts pics when I get them on my new 27, which I will have around the 1st of February.
Thanks for your help again gang.
The ones with a screw have a looser fit for ease of installation. I think AmeriGlo has stopped making that version a while back. Sights requiring a sight pusher do not come loose unless you have somehow damaged the sight channel.

Ive handled both rear ameriglo pro sights (with and without the set screw)and have to say they are the same. Both are easy to install...
BTW: No sight requires a sight pusher....Wooden dowel and hammer work just as good and is probably faster
