Hey everyone.
I will be going to FL for spring break, and I wonder if what I hear is true about all the states between here and FL honoring an Indiana LTCH. Will I be OK to pass through and carry in Florida? Input appreciated.

I think you heard wrong, for example OH will not honor a IN LTCH (assuming you're going down 75).
You'll need to do some research, check out www.handgunlaw.us, they have a neat map function that will show you states that honor an IN LTCH.
Well, you can make it all the way to Florida without disarming, but you might have to detour a touch. When I went to North Carolina the fastest route was through Virginia but I took a slightly longer route (I think through KY and TN) to avoid disarming. Like MakeMineaP99 said though, you do have to research which states will allow it on an IN license.
Someone correct me if I am wrong. If you have the weapon unloaded and secured in a locked container you can travel through Ohio under the federal law.

If you are driving from Bloomington you shouldn't have any problem. You won't be driving through Ohio or NC. KY, TN, GA, & FL all accept Indiana's LTCH. Check the handgun law site linked above.

Here's a handy tool that was posted in Carry Issues a few days ago.
Obviously, always double check the info.

Just be sure that, if you intend to get out of your car for meals, etc... That you know the laws of that state.
For instance, in TN, you can't CCW in establishments where alcohol is served.
GA is a whole other ballgame of verboten places.

Rich,
You are correct, however Brett is talking about carrying loaded on or about his person, not simply transporting.
RF7126,
You can carry in your vehicle in VA without a license to carry. Your pistol must be in plain view on a seat or dashboard, can't be on your person.

+1. If you're carrying in GA, there's a ton of restricted places and most violations are felonies, be very careful.
