A friend of mine wants to finish his MG34 and make it either full auto or semi. He needs a receiver. The MG34 will be used in a WWII reenactment unit.
Any other info to add?
Full auto illegal unless permanently modified for BLANKS ONLY. Even then, I think he may have to have a Class 3 license.
Check with ATF.

He's gonna go through the ATF and make it legal. He wouldn't do it any other way.
I used to have a Class III license.
Machine shop?
He might have to completely manufacture one, or look into the Ruger 10-22 kit and use the little 20rd mags with blanks (have to modify barrel with a BFA) and hang the dummy MG ammo belt on the side.

Damn! I may have to buy one. A guy in my re-enacting unit already has 2 or three MG-42s.
