What's your opinion of a front only NS?

Considering of having just a front only night sight--but wondering if it is even worth doing.

If it works--it would save a lot of money and trouble.

Saves me from buying a full set and rear sight pusher---which I will do if this is not really a workable solution.

I like having my own tools and doing it myself--that way I know it was done right---so borrowing or a gunsmith aren't really options.

I use XS Big Dot Express sights, tritium front only (rear was not an option at the time). I didn't find it to be a particular handicap WITH THAT TYPE OF SIGHT (wide V, not a standard notch and post) in a night fire.
