Took the snubbies to the range today because it had been a while since I had fired them. Put 50 rounds through each of .38 and 25rds of .357 through the two that could take it.

Decided to fire a test target first off, record where they started off cold. These are all one cylinder at 25ft.

Also took the Gaucho with me since I haven't fired that since I bought it a couple of weeks ago.

The groups tightened up after a few cylinders and I pushed the targets out to 50 feet for the last cylinder of each, just to get some longer practice. (50ft is the longest distance on this range)

You know, the human mind is a wonderful thing, it allows you to forget the weirdest things.... like how much these little beasts kick when shooting full house .357mag loads. Yowza!

Cool, what loads did you use?
Looks like SWC's.

The .38sp were Fiocchi 148g SJHP and the .357 were Magtech 158gr SJHP. I like lead nosed rounds out of a revolver. Even if the HP doesn't expand, the bare lead is going to flatten out and give better performance than a fully jacketed bullet.

By the time I got home, I had almost convinced myself that it wasn't that bad....

Most of the folks at the range were firing 9mm, with one guy shooting .410 from a Judge. These snubbies tossing full boat .357mag are pretty loud. I had a couple people wander over to see what I was shooting. :D
