One week ago I bought a Glock 19 and find I am not too crazy about the factory installed standard sights! I am looking for larger sights for both front & rear on this gun because of my eyesight! Does anyone have any suggestions on both what brand sights & where I can buy them?
Thank-you for your reply!

Special note: I'm not interested in night sights!

The best combat handgun sights out there are the XS Sight Systems 24/7 Big Dot Tritium Express Set. I have them on my Glock 19s.
I got them from Brownells.

XS Big Dot (http://www.xssights.com/store/handgun.html)
I'm thinking about putting these on my 19.

Sweet, but i'd go with the TFO's:wavey:
XS Big Dots on both G19's and the G26 (took those off the now retired 1st gen G17).

For easy to see(day or night), and quick on target, its hard to beat XS Big Dot sights. I have them on a G19 and wish they were on my G22.

Is your vision corrected, as needed?
XS Big Dots aren't for everybody, and it's expensive finding that out. Judy had them on her G19 and never did get the hang of them. Her shooting improved immediately when she switched to Trijicons.
Still, others shoot well with the Xs'. You mentioned the rear sight... With the XS system, the rear sight is diminutive, at best.
I found XSBDs tricky to go to from other sights, but once I was acclimated to them, found them to be okay target sights, and great SHTF combat sights. They are nicely made and look cool on the gun! But they're not for everybody...
TFOs? They don't stand up to hard use, and on a Glock, that's nuts! Note the 90-day warranty...
See XS BD & TFO sights at Lone Wolf Distributors: http://www.lonewolfdist.com/

Do you practice outdoors or in? With enough ambient light, fiber optic sights may suit you well. Begin here: http://www.dawsonprecision.com/Home.jsp?refresh=true
For bumps in the night, I recommend LaserMax: http://www.lasersales.com/index.php/cPath/42_70_343?osCsid=4632c915b9ecdf6b1307a5442b21a61d
Also, a good weapon light is advisable, and SureFire makes the best!
A G19 with LaserMax, SureFire X200 and 33-round Magazine, is an awesome little bugger, that really pins down a corner!

I agree, X/S sights are not good for everyone and hard to get used to how to aim especially at varying distances. I like AmeriGlo Operator sights on my G19 and also have a Lasermax. Can go wrong with a laser sight if your eyes can't pick up the front sight. No dot is big enough to fix that.

so for those of you with XS, do you recommend the Big Dot or Standard Dot?
