I have the steel frame version in 380, all black. Snappy little pistol. I'll be ordering a PA-63 or two in 9x18 mak soon here. :)

cool, J&G sales has a good deal on them right now, $99.95. just make sure you go to makarov.com and get the Wolff springs for the gun because the trigger is a royal pain in DA

Yep. I bought me up one some time ago for that price (+shipping+transfer). I can't remember if I got it at JG sales or Centerfire systems. They're nothing special, but at that price I couldn't pass it up. And changing those springs makes a world of difference.

I have a PA-63 and wouldn't mind using it for a car gun, or a quick trip to the store carry gun. But I can't get the gun to feed with any reliability. Anybody have any suggestions? It fails to feed and go fully into battery.

yea i had that problem too, its the magazines, they have to be broken in and then it will work fine, also take the gun completely apart, not field strip, and clean it good. and yea i also only use it for a car gun lol

That's a really good price. I saw one at a gun show this weekend and he wanted $275.00

I have one that is actually one of my favorite pistols. I have another PA-63 that didn't come equipped with the mild rust and pitting that I don't like NEARLY as much. That ugly old dog took a couple hours to clean up, but when I replaced the recoil and mainspring, it changed into a silk purse....albeit one with a little pitting.

It fits my hand like magic, and at shorter distances, say 10 yards or so, it is perhaps my most accurate firearm in practical accuracy. After that it opens up a bit and is nothing special. Not horrible either though.

The minty PA63 is ok, but not like the Ole Rusty. Ole Rusty feeds Silver Bear JHPs like it's nothing, Minty is still tight and sometimes needs a little assistance to go into battery.

Replacing the recoil AND main spring (hammer) changes these firearms completely in my experience. I really like them, much more than I expected I would in fact, as I bought the first one on a whim.

i have been so tickled by my quartet of makarovs that i have been unwilling to bring a pseudo-mak home.

never heard anything bad about them tho. the frame is alloy so you can anodize it too if you wanted.

i like the 9x18 more than the 9x19. i even carry my e. german mak.

Got one for Christmast. Great little gun, only fired it once but it was 100% with the mag it came with and a pair I bought from CDNN.

As others have said alot snappier than I thought it was going to be, also alot more more too. Thats'a alot of gun for $99 +shipping & xfer. I'd have no problem using it for self defense it needed.
