Does anyone have an opinion on which one is better... Italy made or USA made. I only ask because the Italian made 92s seem to cost a little less. This could just be a used versus new thing. Since the made in Italy 92s are going to be 92 SB and 92 f models, maybe the slide retaining stop adds value? What's the opinion out there?
The only one I have is a 92 SB made in Italy. It is blued with walnut grips. It looks practically new, is accurate as any 9mm I have shot, and is totally reliable.

Having shot both, including a Beretta 98 (92 in 9X21 IMI) in Italy....
Either. No real difference I can tell. And I own a US made 92FS myself as well.
Based upon what I have read on the Beretta forum
http://www.berettaforum.net/
the general consensus is that there is really no difference between Italian made & U.S. made . . .
however, some seem to prefer Italian made over U.S. made, primarily because the Beretta originated in Italy.
Myself, I own an Italian made 92FS.
I'm not sure which is better, but I love my italian made 92f.

Is that a Beretta USA Maryland slide on an imported gun?
I have had both and did not tell a differnece. I think alot of it is preference. I have a friend of Italian heritage and he will only own Italian models and some like the made in USA ideology. I dont care as long as its a Beretta.

They are identical. Neither is better than the other.
The main difference between them is the markings.

Beretta 92FS models made in the U.S. or in Italy are both made very well. I believe Beretta 92FS models made in the U.S. after 2003 will come with Plastic triggers, sights, and guide rods. Present day made Italain models don't have these features.

I believe there is no difference, I would like an Italian model just cause its an Italian design but i would rather have a brand new US made pistol then a used import. thats my 2 cents.

I have the same gun. One side says Made In Italy, and the other says "Mod. 92FS - CAL. 9 Parabellum -PATENTED".
Beretta USA holds the patent.

The rollmarks on the right side of the slide is the Importer.BUSA. The rollmarks on the left side will be the origin of manufacture.

Well I have the M9, and carry the 92FS at work.
I would get an Italian made if I ran across one just to have it.
