OK, I give up on Foxnews.com, also known as "BlondBimboNews.com". Is there a successor to Fox that balances the socialist mainstream media? I used to depend of Fox for a dissenting view of the news, but they don't report the news anymore, only jiggles, giggles and shockers.

I hear you. I wish they would report the NEWS; I don't want their damn opinion, or what they speculate might happen. Also tired of seeing two or three adults bickering like children over each news item. It's turned into Springer lite.

When the back and forth arguing starts, I immediately change channels.

There is no TV based news organization in the US that has the integrity, and balls to tell the God's honest TRUTH about anything.

It's marginally better in some overseas markets, but what qualifies as news today isn't IMO.

Unless Britney Spears assasinates a foreign diplomat, I don't want to hear or see her. Yet I can't have CNN or check my yahoo mail without a headline.

Why does TV news not talk about AMERICAN border agents rotting in prison for doing a good job? Oh sure, there might be a 30 sec blurb, but no interviews with their friends and family, just a quick segway to fill space before the Paris Hilton interview.

I'd like about 30 billion $ in startup costs to start my own news organization. It would be based outside the US, ideally on a nuclear powered surface vessel in international waters, but a decent sized island would suffice. I would sell it to sattelite providers to distribute to consumers who just want a few channels of truly unbiased, no BS reporting on issues that are important.

Entertainment news is fine, but honestly who cares which of the celeb blondes is acting the like the most psychotic whore of the week?

That and the radio. I gave up on TV a few years ago. I read WSJ and listen to a few select radio personalities now and I seem to be able to figure out what is going on well enough.

BBC? Hardy neutral. More like our PBS. Very left of center.

Yeah - no to the BBC and NPR. I usually get my daily dose from Drudge, the WSJ and here.

I agree FOX is not what it once was. I watch CNN a lot now, Lou Dobbs !

Sorry I was not more clear, I don't watch television, I was looking for a news website. I hate television. The only thing worth watching on TV is Benny Hill reruns at 0-dark thirty and black and white movies that have "The producers wish to thank. . ." followed by the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps or Air Force in the credits.

www.reuters.com

might as well get your news from the source

bbc is also pretty good.

A good weekly magazine for news is the Economist but it is a lil pricey for a subscription

Bimbos? Like Megyn Kelly who used to practice law as corporate litigator?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,133828,00.html

Like Jamie Colby is an attorney and served in private practice for 10 years. She is an attorney admitted to practice in New York, California, the District of Columbia and Florida. Colby is also a former law professor?

Maybe it's because they're educated that makes you feel uncomfortable?

I like BBC too. If they put a leftist slant on their reporting, they hide it well.

I also like Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck, although they are more commentary than actual news.

And Robin Meade just because. :hearts:

Fox News may be totally worthless, but it's worth a minute or so each day to see Megan Kelly. Wow.

I know this wasn't directed at me but I must respond. What makes me uncomfortable about them isn't their respective law degrees (which basically everyone from the Fox news janitor up to Hillary Clinton has nowadays and means basically nothing intellectually speaking) but rather that all the blond-streaked retarded-adolescent female pundits are all clones from MTV's "The Hills". Whenever I turn on FOX news now I expect to see these gals reporting from a wet T-shirt contest at Spring Break.

There's nothing wrong with an attractive woman giving an intellectual opinion but there's alot wrong with FOX making an obvious grab for viewers based on female easthetics and nothing more. Some amiable bantering while that dirty old man O'Reilly stares at their chests hardly makes a news show. Sure these gals are okay to look at, but they aren't any different than any "entertainment" based show on cable nowadays. Seriously, surf the channels and you'll find it hard to tell the difference. One chirping bleach-blond head is indiscipherable from the next.

FOX must be losing viewers as tarting up what was once a serious, sincere news channel just to get ratings is pathetic.
