I'm going to purchase (new) a Ruger Mark III w/ bull barrel. Normally WHERE I purchase would be a no brainer. I've been buying my guns from Jason at Gun World in Metamora. Well the stores closed up tight and emptied out. No note that they've moved or anything.

So I have 2 questions.
1. Does anyone know what happened to Jason and his store? He had good prices and customer service. Not to mention they were just plain down to earth and nice.
2. If I can't buy from him, where's a good place to go price wise? For the record it won't be Williams...I don't like their pricing or their service. Bullocks is out too...the one time I went in there I was treated like I wasn't supposed to be there.

Any info or suggestions is appreciated.

Wow Didn't know Jason shut down. Great place. Guns Galore has descent prices. Just have $$ in hand to get service.

I drove past his place every day going to work. It's been empty for about a month I think. I hope nothing bad happened to him or his dad.

Guns Galore or a private sale if you can find one.

If you haven't been into williams in a while they have brought there prices down a lot and if you find it cheaper anywhere they will match. Plus they will always give you a better price on used guns in you ask. they moved all the handguns upstairs and they are in display cases where you can see them now. I will go into Guns Galore on occasion, but those guys are wierd and not very friendly. Although I used to buy only from them, I now go t Davison, where they are friendly at least.

Jason & his Dad are fine. There were some landlord issues with the building, if you notice, the real estate office is also empty. Business/economy was getting kind of slow & I guess it's difficult to get cheap rent in any commercial building so he just shut down. I don't know if he has any plans for the future to open up again. I do talk to him occassionally but he has not mentioned any plans. Besides the stores mentioned above, SAFES UNLIMITED in Keego Harbor (just outside Pontiac) isn't too bad. Real small store run by a elderly gentleman. There's also J.S Sporting Goods in White Lake, guy works out of his house (m59/Orman rd), prices are very good.

I'm glad everythings good with Jason. Wish I could buy from the guy! I guess I'll try Williams again and see what happens. I didn't have a horrible earth shattering experience there I just didn't feel right there and I didn't get treated any differently LOL. Jason always makes me feel welcome whether I'm dropping cash or not.
