I took the 10 hour class today. Actually I just got back, 11 hours counting lunch..

The test is almost a joke... Wow, If the State wrote it they want everyone... I mean everyone even a mentally challenged to pass it with a 100.. What's the deal with the questions on it? Multiple choice and true and false but, the correct answer is obvious because the other choices are just a joke..

Anyway, I passed the practical with flying colors.. making a big hole in the very center the size of a baseball.. my instructor couldn't even count the hits.. He just counted 1 big one.. LOL

Funny... the other 13 people were like WT*..?

Welcome to the club, Cdr!!!!

I think the reason they are so easy is you live in a SHALL issue state. (and someone has to be appeased)

PA is easyer go to county courthouse, get application, fill it out, return it and get picture taken and pay $25.00 fee, then just sit back and wait four to six weeks for your license.

Good. The "State" should not put up barriers to people to exercise their rights.

Cdr. Instigator, congratulations on getting your CHL!

Yes the test is easy. But you have to admit that it's good to be familiar with the laws that you're now responsible for knowing.

There's also another way to look at the written test.

When the correct answer is so obvious, on a multiple choice test, and the other answers are so ridiculous that they're obviously wrong, you're more likely to remember the correct answer, than to wonder if one of the others may have been correct.

Now get yourself into the Carry Issues forum and get your nachos. ;)

Dang, thats a long time. In Ohio our test was just as easy and then it took less than a week to get the license. Class on Sunday Lic on Fri kind of thing.

Granted, the standards seem pretty lax.

OTOH, just how high should the bar be set for the right to defend your life?

We had a review just before the written test --

The instructor handed out the actual test BEFORE the review -

The review was - you guessed it - going over the actual test - question by question - he ask someone to read the question and give what they though was the answer - then we talked about it - explain the correct answer -

Then we took the test -

I also had a guy that was legally blind in my class - he could see light and dark - and some shapes up close.

His son helped him take the written test - and during the shooting qualification - the son would say - aim more right - now up - OK - you are on target - and the guy would shoot --

He passed -- GOOD FOR HIM.

I go to the range about 1 a month - and have seen the guy practicing several times -

He got a gun and his CHL because his home was broken into and he was beaten up and robbed - punks had to know he was blind -
