There have been many postings by people here that want information on how to become a Mason, most are able to get that information here from a Mason.
Then the issue becomes, how do I find, contact or join a lodge local to me. I have worked to get two people connected, but mostly it is because someone put their location in their sig line or profile.
It would be most helpful if we could all either change our profiles or add it to a list here as a reference. I know some of you are not in a position or have a desire to be specific as to exact city, but perhaps a state listing would help these people and those trying to help them.
Please join in here an post your location. A Brother in Northern Illinois would come in real handy for me right now to help another person learn about the fraternity.
As for mel, I am in Tarrant County Texas.

SK, I hear you there. This is my second year in Commandery (I had to work last year and didn't get to participate). The Commander came up, handed me a ritual and said "Learn this stuff for the Inspection." Rofl, no warning, no advice.
Regardless, I'm in the 10th Blue Lodge District in Ohio.
Anyone come over here for #58 Commandery on Saturday?

Yep, having it March 22, starting at 4:00.
You guys might have some cool weather for that fish fry. The weather around the Metroplex has not been friendly lately. You might think about April instead of March.

We hope not. The neighboring town is having theirs in April, so we decided on March.

So...directions to the fish fry? HAHA Unfortunately the lodge I'm in right now doesn't do many things outside of the lodge...I visit the Dallas Pentagon lodge quite a bit and get together with them during their social activities. Hopefully some day that will change for us here in Seagoville.

Easiest way to get there....
From 75 North, take exit 45 toward Bonham. Take a left on 160, which becomes Hwy. 69 that takes you all the way into Bells. After you go through the intersection in Bells, take the first right next to Milano's pizza. The lodge will be on your right. We will start at 4:00 til whenever we run out of food.
See ya there.....:wavey:

What's the address to the lodge? And can I bring my brother? He's not "a" brother but he's my brother that's been interested in joining for a while now. This may nudge him over the edge to go ahead and get his petition in.
Edit: Now the family (4 people) is interested in coming along.

I don't have the exact address, but it's located on W. North St. in Bells, TX. The lodge sits behind "Jackie's Catfish".

I will keep this in mind for the next class. I hope to conduct a pistol class the middle of November or so in Hillsborough. If that works out, I will give you a PM. If not, I will get with you when I do come up.
How do you think a two day practical pistol course will do in your area? We have only conducted LR Tactical Rifle and Combat Focus Carbine (last week) in the area. Lots of riflemen from Bragg and Quantico, but I don't know about the pistol guys.

Do you know brother Mike Brown? We were in DeMolay together years ago. He signed my petition for the degrees about 20 years ago. I know he he retired from the City of Euless then took a position at North Texas U PD. The City of Euless made him an offer to come back as Chief of Police.
I'm now a Past Master at Smithfield Masonic Lodge No. 455.

Harley Rider, I noticed that you mentioned being in Demolay. I joined in 61 when I was 14 and was an Advisor for a while when they allowed Sr. Demolays to be advisors. I became a Mason in 75. I belong to 3 lodges in the Metroplex, also Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, and Grotto. My DeMolay chapter was in the Texas Panhandle and has been disbanded several years.
