If anyone within a reasonable drive of The Haute, might be worth stopping in at Gander Mtn. ESPECIALLY if you're in the market (and aren't we all?) to add something to the collection.

Yes, there are some prices that make you scratch your head and wonder (like $299 for a USED Ruger 10/22 with regular ol' wood furniture...when new ones are going for more than $100 less, and USED Rem 870 Express shotguns for $350, etc)

BUT, they are just chock full of used firearms. All kinds of good looking old revolvers, several Ruger Mk I's, etc at not unreasonable prices. Definitely worth the look, folks!

Brand new full-sized Para 1911 for $700

And, probably the catch of the year:

AMT AutoMag in .30 carbine, 6" bbl. I didn't handle it, but it looked to be in really good shape! For "only" $599!!!!!

I'd heard about this . . . I need to go check it out this weekend. Hopefully there's a used 18.5" or 20" 500 on the rack for under $250.

See Troy at the gun counter. He is the only one I would deal with plus i have known him for years. he had an FFL and buisness way before gander he knows what he is selling. I was in there looking for an AR about two months ago. I don't know who was at the counter that day but he did tell me that he was all that and a bag of chips along with how to operate an AR. which I think I have down after 20 years of military service (with time spent in a warzone or two) just walked out after that .

If I had the coin...I'd buy that AutoMag!!

I'm definitely impressed at the selection there at Terre Haute. I visit Greenwood and Castleton quite often and TH has them beaten hands down!

They had a used 2nd gen G22 w/ night sights a couple weeks ago for 300$, a bit of slide holster wear, probably a police trade in. I had seen the same deal a couple months ago.

There always seems to be a deal in the used firearm section.

I can't figure out if they are clueless on pricing, or if they just do that to get people in the door.
