Well I just picked this model 37 airweight up today and it looks like it sat in someones desk drawer all it's life. I could not pass it up with how nice it was, not a lick of holster wear and locks up tight. I picked it up for 319 dollars. Can anyone tell me if I got a decent deal? Thanks!

Yes. That is a good deal for a Like new gun.

I have seen them for $250 with wear.

No Lock, real steel, and real parts.

Possibly search for the most common parts to go bad like the firing pin, hand, some minor springs and make a repair kit because S&W and others likely won't have parts in 10-20 years.

Your grandkids will have it if you prepare.

Yeah, you got screwed, but being the nice guy that I am, I'll give you what you've got in it, as long as you pick up the shipping of it to me.

Anyone have a favorite carry load for their non +p rated snubbies? Right now I have mine loaded with Hornaday 158 grain XTP standard pressure .

Gold Dot non+P.
Or GD for short barrels.

Neat gun. We have them on sale, here, for $379.00 for a new one (and also 442 and 638).

The only thing I don't like about airweights is the fact that you can accidently bend the triggerguards. (I saw it happen) Nice carry pieces though and that one looks cherry.

How did the trigger guard get bent? On a bad guys head, (I hope).

And I thought I was the only one in world to own a Model 37.

Mine has the nickel finish and I added an Uncle Mike's grip for improved ergonomics. It is by far the easiest to carry of all the handguns I own. It is so light and small, I sometimes forget I'm carrying it. Sounds like you got a good buy.
