View Full Version : Destructive Devices question
I asked this a while back but never really got anywhere with it.
My state does not allow Destructive Devices, but I'm curious ... of the states that DO allow them, where would a civilian buy one from...and I don't mean street sweepers. I mean like hand grenades, rocket launchers, etc....
Thanks!

At a FFL/SOT licensed to manufacture and/or deal in DDs.

It is almost impossible to find live grenades and rockets for sale... none of the manufactures ever sell them to civillians for liability reasons... most folks that buy DD's buy weapons that are > 0.5" and reload NON-EXPLODING AMMO for them... beside that fact that every exploding round would carry a $200 excise tax on it...

The closest you can get as a civilian would be to purchase an M203 launcher from a Class 3 dealer like autoweapons.com. You can by rounds but they are only in smoke, gas, or rubber buckshot. No high explosive or shrapnel types are available.
