Two out of three of my 9-round G27 magazines are exhibiting the following problems:
1. With an empty magazine in an empty weapon, when the slide is pulled back, the slide stop lever is not fully engaging the slide to lock it open. It will lock the slide open but I can push up on the lever and hear is click fully into place. Both magazines exhibit the same problem in other G27 pistols.
2. With rounds in either magazine and firing, the slide is not locking to the rear after the last round is fired.
3. One of the problem mags is not feeding the last round into the chamber. The round remains in the mag but appears to be pressed up against the feed ram. If I slam the base of the magazine the slide with feed the round, close and I can fire the last round. And as usual, the slide will not lock to the rear after the last round is fired.
I had this problem before I replaced the springs in both mags with brand new ones. My remaining 9-round mag and other 13 and 15 round mags function as they should. I think the problem is with the two magazines and most likely with the follower or possibly with the magazine body itself.
Any ideas?
