Does anyone know if the BATFE accepts Electronic Fingerprints instead of the fingerprint cards?

Would they just need to be printed on the FBI cards?

No - I'm not speaking of printing out my fingerprints using a printer or a .pdf document.
I'm talking about Electronically Transmitted fingerprints. There is a glass topped scanner that uses a laser to scan the fingerprints and they can be sent to any registered ORI. I haven't seen anything on the BATFE website about their acceptance and our fingerprint techs haven't sent any to BATFE for NFA purposes before.
I was just wondering if they are accepted since I have access to the technology and they make FBI checks MUCH faster.

I know what you mean.
I had them done electronically for my ccw.
I wonder if they can just bring up the file and re-print them on the FBI cards.
When I got them done for the ccw, I stll had to send in a copy of them along with a receipt showing that I paid to have them done that way.

Yep just have them print them on the FBI cards. You can then add their address.

Call NFA Branch and ask them if they accept them. (304) 616-4500

Thanks for all the replies.
I spoke with an Examiner at the NFA Branch (Super nice and very helpful people up there by the way) about electronically submitted fingerprints.
He told me that BATFE is familiar with the technology and the process (along with how cool, nifty, and quick it is) however they do not have the capability to receive them at this time. They still require actual physical cards to be sent in at this point, however they expect to have the electronic capability in the future.
