My Dad and I like to shoot together occasionally, but he won't shoot my G27 because he gets slide bite on his thumb knuckle. Anyone have experience with the Mike Gibson Beavertail?

I've seen it for sale in The Blue Press catalog, but the rubber sleeve makes me wonder how securely it stays in place.

I now see it is made for Full Sized Glocks. Anyone know of one made for Sub Compacts?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to jump in on SpaceGlocker's post. But, here's Smart Lock's site with the beavers.

I have one, don't use it any more. I cut the thumb rests off of it and it did it's job stopping slide bite.

Just for nomenclature accuracy, it installs on the "#3; trigger housing pin." A longer replacement pin is included with the tail.

I've never used the Gibson tail. However, I think that I'd prefer one held on by a pin.
