Yep, I've been looking my arse off for a year or more...Now that I found one, I am floored by the price.

.....that caliber also. they were fairly cheap 15(or so) years ago when MR offered it.
As you probably know,it is simply a .50A&E necked down to .429/.430. Don't know for sure but would probably get another 100-150fps over the .44mag DE. That appealed to me.
The Gunbroker weapon advertised is waaaaaaaay to "pimpie" for me. What they are trying to sell is the finish and I would not want that.
The weapon will NEVER be worth even 3K no matter how many were made. I can't imagine even a "collector" picking this one up. -----pruhdlr

Auction is almost over!!!! If anybody wants it, they better hurry.
That weapon will not end up selling for 2K.
If so, the buyer needs to contact me. I have property for sale in "south Florida".

:embarassed: How did you know my offer? lol.
The ONLY other DE that I would have a remote interest in would be a all stainless weapon.
But then I figure that I used mine in the remote areas of Maine,Florida, and others, during hunts of three days or more. This, while my DE stayed wet for the whole time and never gettin' so much as a wipedown. And it has never had more than a couple small spots of surface rust on it.
Mine is the MK1 with the black oxide(?) finish and it is very durable. It doesn't even scratch very easy.
I feel that what has saved my DE is the same treatment that I give to some of my other "working" weapons. Strip 'em down, blow 'em out with a light mist of WD-40 pushed by 60psi,then followed by dry air at 80-100psi.
Some people bad mouth WD. Those are the people that gunk it on and allow it to dry. My system has worked for me for the past........well........more years than I can count.
I would also be interested as to how the Ti finish was applied to that DE. -----pruhdlr
