Call me a wus but this plain fu@#d me up just to watch. If you ever wondered how a 50 AE would do in a hog hunt than click the link below. I found this video on YOUTUBE. I mean damn I feel he dragged out the kill and took pleasure in the animals suffering.
WARNING WARNING WARNING BRUTALLY GRAPHIC !!! You have been warned !!!

.....unless I sign up and all that stuff.
Being a DE owner and a avid hog hunter would like to see it although not seeing it might be for the best. None of our game animals should have to suffer. Everyone needs to make a clean kill.
Cant stand to see an overabundance of high fiven' after a kill. -----pruhdlr
That's no 'wild' hog....domestic gone feral at best.

I'm not going to watch the video.
I am a hunter. I just want to express my disdain for repulsive humans who enjoy torturing animals then call themselves "hunters".

Well stated my brother. I was offended myself when I watched the video. I posted this to see what other hunters opinions were. The situation just seemed fishy to me. My thoughts were a pet turned loose and killed purely for doing a YOUTUBE video. :steamed:

I agree 100%
It was pretty bad to see an animal treated so poorly, and also the morons who were hootin' and tootin' after the way-too-drawn-out kill.
They proved they were failures as hunters, yet they felt like they were studs. Douchebags.
This is exactly why hunters who are after an 800 lb.-plus animal should use a scoped .338/.300 win mag and do the deed in one shot...not 8.
Hell, if you have to use a HG, get a S&W 500 or 460 and get it done quick. There was no reason, other than their own stupid damn choice, they needed to take so long in killing that animal. :steamed:
WOW!!
As I see it the only mistake the hunter made was not waiting for a broadside shot, which would of probably became a one shot kill. As far as making that pig suffer it was put out of it's misery fairly quick. About 30 seconds from first shot to last. Most animals shot through the lungs with a rifle or bow will last that long. You just can't see it because the animal runs off in the bush to die. Just the gorry truth to killing!!

horrible skill,I mean really did it need to take 8 shots?I beleive it did.I seen my father shot a raccoon 8 times 4in head 4 in body with a marlin 60 22lr in our apple tree before it fell down dead.
I mean think about a 800 lb hog I am sure he could of done it in 1-3 shot but that is why I always stress shot placement, maybe the reason why my father was drunk and shot 8 times 8hits on a coon because of poor shot placement.
I really feel bothered by that since he could of done it humanely
Yeah, that was a rough video to watch. Why they had to talk so longbefore finishing the animal off, I have no idea.
That said, the suffering time was probably in line with most hunts. You just don't normally have people standing there watching, which is terrible. I believe one of them asked whether or not he was going to reload and finish it off.
For dangerous game like that, its definitely better from longer range with a scoped rifle.
Anybody catch that 50BMG vs. mountain goats link? There wasn't much suffering going on there. Although I'm not sure what the hell they were doing. People are nuts.
Hrm.. I don't think these fellas would have liked to have seen me while they were doing this sort of thing. I would have made their suffering last well beyond 30 seconds.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one. I'm not certain that that 'hunter' would have ever left those woods if I'd been there to see that...
I'm a hunter, but I make damn well sure my target doesn't suffer.

I agree. Horrendous technique exhibited by these idiots...
This should be shown mandatorily to all hunter's ed students as an example of what not to do
