does anyone know if a lone wolf slide will fit and work on a 2nd gen glock? their site says the are made for 3rd gen but are they just saying that or is their any truth to that statement? thanks for the help

It depends on caliber if you are mixing slide and frame calibers. If you are sticking within caliber, generation does not matter.

I'd call Lone Wolf before ordering.

While I don't know why it would not work on a 2nd generation frame, the LW website specifically says is designed for current production FGR frames.

The fit issue may (or may not) be with the trigger bar engagement. The current trigger bars (3rd gen) feature a "kick up" that is slightly higher than the originals.

JR,

Is the only potential issue the trigger bar?

If so, would adding a current production trigger bar to a 2nd gen frame make the slide compatible?

Or is this just not worth taking a chance on?

Thanks,

This is the only issue we have come against (so far). It is most likely an isolated incidence

Thanks JR,

No immediate needs for a slide, but I have a few "projects" in mind down the road. I appreciate your company's service and your being active on this forum.
