Since I cannot seem to locate OEM slides, what is the general consenus for the LWD versions?

Are the reliable, factory spec, etc. Anyone have issues with them?
Are they available without the cartoon face?

Thanks!

I'm curious as well. Anyone?

I kind of wish this had stayed in General Glocking.

Why can't you find an OEM slide? I can order one from the factory and ship it to you. You might be able to get one from the factory as well. Call them.

LWD Slides are made to Glock 3rd gen specifications and then add the following "most desired modifications" for FREE: lowered ejection port, beveled slide rails, forward serrations and on some models bull nose.

Glock Inc does not offer slides for sale. They will issue a replacement slide if something happens to the original. They will also insist you return the damaged slide and frame to fit the new slide to the existing frame. Glock Inc is not in the business to sell parts. Lone Wolf specializes in Glock parts.

NO! Don't you just think the buff wolf is the cutest thing ever?

No Glock Inc will not send you a slide. They are in the business of selling you guns not components.

The Lone Wolf slides are stainless. They are not tennifer coated.

Beveled slide rails are cut at an angle. The benefit of this cut is that the sail will not cut your hand if you get an accidental "high grip" on the frame.

The LWD barrels and slides can be purchased without engraving or be custom engraved with virtually anything you desire. Contact Dan at dshepard@lonewolfdist.com for more information.

I have a Lone Wolf slide for my G23. I got it initially to build a full 9mm conversion slide swap, but liked the Lone Wolf so much, it turned into the daily carry. With the added features, plus I had Lone Wolf bull-nose it, it is very confidence inspiring. The fit and finish is superb, lock-up is tight, and has very little movement on the rails. With over 1000 rounds of .40 and 9mm (with a Lone Wolf .40-9 conversion barrel) I have YET to experience ONE stoppage.

Extra kudos to JR for his excellent customer service. We exchanged emails for about a week as I tried to get details on the 35 conversion as well for my 23.

I'll be pulling the trigger on the 35 conversion as soon as that economic stimulus check comes through, JR!
