Hi,
Ordered one of these backstrap channel inserts from Glockmeister for my new G26 only to realize that the 26 doesn't have a lanyard hole drilled through the receiver. I am reluctant to drill that hole myself and don't know a gunsmith - not that that task is necessarily one best done by a smith; drilling a hole through a rounded plastic part would probably be best done by a good machinist. I don't know one of those either!
Any suggestions? Does anyone make a backstrap channel insert which doesn't attach to the receiver using the lanyard hole, perhaps one that is a friction fit?
Has anyone drilled their own hole who can possibly offer tips to position it correctly and drill it squarely?
Thanks.
