Anyone done this? Thinking about buying both. I want a .22 pistol for cheap range days and need a new ccw piece. This setup would do both. Is it as simple as a field strip to switch from .40 to .22 and back?

I just got one for my G-26. I've only put 10 rounds through it so far to test it but from what I can tell it's going to be great. All it takes to change from your 40 s&w slide on your G-27 is just to remove it like you would to clean it, then install the Advantage Arms slide and of course swap mags.

I have an aa kit for mine and love it. the Fit and finish is excellent. shoot it weekly. Have put many many rounds thru it. Excellent training tool. I wouldnt hardly shoot my glock at all if it were not for this kit. Just wish .22 would stop going up. Just went up about $2 the other day:crying:

I just got one myself. Shot perfect right out of the box with the Rem HP value pack rounds from WallyWorld, I may even look into upgrading the sights on the kit slide to match my carry piece.

If you are serious about CCW and Practice this is the best investment that you can make. I carry a G27 on duty and put about 200 rounds a week through my AA kit for it. Look around and you can usually find them at less than MSRP on the boards here. I bought mine from another member. Another plus is that it shoots just about the cheapest .22 that you can by. Walmart 550 packs run great in mine. All it takes is a cleaning about every 200-300 rounds and it runs like a champ.

wow! I sorta expected mixed reviews and to hear people telling me to shoot what I carry and not to practice with weaker ammo. (Of course, I'll still shoot .40, but .22 being as cheap as it is would certainly increase range time overall).

Thanks for the reviews - I'll definitely pick one up. Now, do they make magazines greater than 10 rounds for anyone not living in CA? I read their notice on their website. Maybe a 3rd party makes them?

Great piece of kit for any Glock owner. Do a search for Advantage Arms. This is discussed at length dozens of times per year.

Q: Are you going to offer High Cap Magazines if the AWB sunsets this September?

A: NO. High cap magazines will still be illegal to manufacture or sell in California, which is where our factory is located.

I'm unaware of any 3rd party that makes them. I'm pretty sure I'd have seen it on GlockTalk if they existed.
