I have a G27 and the grip feels just a little chunky. I don't have big hands. I know that the grip on the G23 is a little longer and both are 1.18 inches thick. That being said, is the grip on the G23 any narrower and therefore easier to handle?;d

It's the same width, same feel just longer butt so you have a 3 finger hold.

Put the Pearce +1 extensions on those G27 mags.
It made a huge difference for me.
Good luck

If you do that, learn to count your rounds. I've found that after 3 years, my magazines with Pearce +1 don't always activate the slide stop after the last round is fired. After returning them to stock condition, they work flawlessly.
Some will say to use aftermarket springs. I say get used to shooting without extensions. The more I shoot Glocks the more I'm convinced not to put any aftermarket stuff on the most reliable stock pistols ever made.
If you really need the 3 finger hold, get the 23.
Flame on!
Amen to the G23. I carried mine for a while this evening while doing a little outdoor work, and I didn't even notice it. It provides a realatively full grip, and it's concealable. (I was wearing shorts and a muscle shirt when by bro showed up, and he didn't notice.)
Trade for a G23, IMHO.

I agree with that. My buddy talked me into putting a +1 Pierce on my 27. I left the other magazine alone. I've shot around 300 rounds out of it so far and had 2 jams with the +1's and 0 with the stock mags. I chaulk up both jams to limp wristing. I guess maybe with the extension the gun just feels too good, and I'm relaxing a bit. If that makes sense.
Of course I could be all wrong also. ;a

Maybe limp wristing, maybe not. The extension lowers the front of the spring quite a bit, relative to the back. That may cause more friction along the front of the mag tube and cause the follower's front to be a bit less quick to snap into place. This may lead to an occasional jam (failure to feed) where the bullet front sits against the bottom of the feed ramp.
Or, maybe not!
