I'm thinking of getting TRUGLO TFO Night Sights on my G27, and they come in G/G and Y/G varieties. I was planning on getting the G/G variety, but if anyone here can provide a good reason for using multi-colored sights, I'd be more than willing to listen. Don't see much advantage to it, personally, but again that's why I'm asking.

I have a yellow/green set on my HK USP. They're a little easier to pick up in a rapid shot with my eyes. In my case I know if I see yellow and green then I'm lined up for a good shot.

I have yellow and green on 4 different Glocks and that's what works best for me. I have tried green and green and prefer the contrast in colors.

Green Front
and
Yellow Rear

This combination is, IMHO, far superior to going all Green.
It simplifies the decision of which sight is the FRONT SIGHT in a very obvious manner.
That results is faster target acquisition.

Besides.... it looks REALLY COOL!

+1 on the above. I have all my carry guns set up with the green front and yellow rears....although I am no longer using TruGlos...I changed over to Trijicon and have not been sorry. YMMV

The combination tritium/fiberoptic is why I went with TruGlo

I like this combination in Ameriglo Operator.

I hate to offer a different opinion here, but, I have several green/green sets on various handguns, and one set of green/yellow (orange?) Meprolights on a G23. In low light conditions, which is the situation that "night sights" are actually designed for, it is difficult (for me, anyway) to QUICKLY distinguish between the colors. In relatively dark conditions, the difference is obvious, but in that little amount of light, it would be very difficult to clearly identify a target.

My point is that if I have the time to distinguish between the colors, I would have the time to find the end with one lamp, and place that one lamp between the other 2. If I can easily see the difference in the colors, I may need to illuminate my target.

YMMV

Try the Ameriglo Operator green/yellow low light sight picture, you may like it better.

I thought (and I think the website says) that the TruGlo TFO only come in green\green. Is that not right? If not, where did you find the yellow\green option? I might like that too.
