I just received the Scherer Plus 1 magazine extension, which I ordered from Lone Wolf. On lone wolf, the service was excellent, fast shipping, good prices, I will be buying from them again and would recommend them to anyone.

On the Scherer +1, I like it. It is misleading. On my G36 it does allow 1 extra round to "fit" into the magazine. It does not fit well. It is very hard to put the 7th round in. It will not seat with 7 rounds in the magazine on a closed slide. I would not carry it with 7 rounds. I like to think it may slightly extend spring life. Or it might not. But it does give me more purchase on the weapon for rapid firing. It does not profile any worse. It makes it easier to get a good grip on my spare magazine.

I also go the plug for the grip. It is unobtrusive and helps with reloads slightly. I just figured I would post this for anyone who is on the fence about these items. Don't get it for 1 more round.

Maybe it means +1 more finger, not +1 more round. :bluesbrothers:

i personaly dont think any +1 is worth it on a weapon you carry for PD. i hear to many stories of the srping not being able to up all the bullets and that could be a verry bad thing at the wrong time.

I have the Pearce +2 on my G26.....but there is NO WAY IN HELL your going to get 2 more rounds in the damn thing.

Aint happening.

So its more of a +1.....but hey, 11 beats 10 and I can hold onto the gun much better.

I put a Scherer +1 (+2 on my G26) on a couple of my g26 10 rd mags (12 rd with the extension). I've had no problems with them. My mags include a couple of stock 10rds for skinny carry, the two 12rd'ers above and a boat-load of stock 17rd mags. All perform as expected all the time with a variety of range and JHP ammo. Between my wife (and her gun also) we put about 400rds a month combined through our guns.

It does allow you to put one in the chamber and still have a "full" (standard 6 rounds) mag with out taking the mag out and putting a new round in or hand stuffing the chamber first doesn't it?

Does it function as well as a standard unmodified 6 round mag?
