Hey fellas, this is my 1st post since joining. About 4-5 years ago I picked up an aftermarket extended slide lock. This extended slide lock was not only longer but also thicker. It was said to make the barrel lock up with less play. I installed it in my gen 1 19 and MAN it made a huge difference in group sizes. Then two years ago my agency went from Sig 220 to glock 22. I picked one up for that weapon also, worked as advertised. I have just recently picked a 27 and went on line looking for that part and I can not locate it anywhere. If I recall right the guy that had them was named Graham. Has anyone heard of this part or know where to get it?
im looking at my glock and scratching my head. asking myself how can a slide lock affect accuracy...... can u please explain how this work?

IndyCopper - I'm glad you like my MGSL. (Match Grade Slide Lock) I moved to the Houston, Texas area after my wife died. Please email me at Grhm458@cs.com, or call me at 832-695-7192. I have them in stock.

dakrat - don't confuse the slide STOP for the slide LOCK. I used Glock's own terminology to name the part. I think the next time I make up header cards I'll change the name to Match Grade BARREL Lock, which is much more descriptive of what it does. The slide lock is the angled plate in the frame that the barrel (and slide) lock to when the pistol is in battery. My MGSL locks the barrel into the same position everytime the slide cycles, thereby increasing accuracy.

Are you referring to a new Locking block that is set inside the frame?

No, the slide lock is the part in the frame that you pull downwards to allow the slide to go forward off the frame. The barrel lug mates up to the groove in the slide lock when the weapon is in battery. The match grade slide lock makes this lock up tighter which improves accuracy. I put them in my weapons and it made a noticable reduction in group size.

Mr. Graham,
I received my Match Slide Lock back in February and only recently had the opportunity to shoot the weapon I installed it on. I know your instructions say to wait until I'd fired 200 rounds. I did, actually, fire 200+ rounds. But, I've got to tell you, from the first magazine, my groups improved by about 60 - 75%. I know that sounds like a lot, but my 15 yd groups went from looking like a shotgun, to center punching a 1" square and shooting a magazine full into one hole!! The group was about an inch in diameter. I think I'm going to get another.
HOWEVER, I do have one complaint. My first round (9mm) let my left thumb know very painfully that your slide lock was longer AND had sharper edges than the OEM. I had to readjust my grip during that range session to keep the recoil from nailing my left thumb with those sharp edges. When I got home, a dremel loaded with a polishing wheel took the sharpness off the left side. Perhaps on future models, you could round the edges a bit more.

I have one in my comp G34 and it works very well.
Sounds interesting, though I do not believe they would be legal for USPSA Production Division (considered an external modification).

I posted a while back about them. I have one on every Glock I own. I will say they make the most noticable improvement on the 40's. TR is top notch to deal with as well. Very knowlegdable and a super nice guy.
