Hello there.
I've just bought G19 and... as some one already told me, I think I'm now infested by Glock virus. ;f ;a Ohh...I really never knew before I bought one!
Anyhow, as much as I love my Glock 19, I'd like a pistol with bigger hole. No match stuff here, I'm not that into competitions. I just want some bigger holes.
I first thought about .40 S&W, but I don't like that cartridge just because...well I can't give you reason but I keep being attracted to .45 these days.
I was thinking about Glock 21 and HK USP .45F. I want to buy full size pistol since I already have compact G19 in 9mm.
It seems like there is no actual difference in combat accuracy at all, and I also heard that G21 is one of the most soft shooting .45 pistols in the market. Now the question is should I pay more than $100 bucks for just .5mm width difference? (Glock 21 32.5mm, USP 45F 32mm) But that's what I found.
I will be very appreciated if you could help me out on this matter
:)

HK makes a nice piece. If you are going to shoot the .45 regularly the Glock is going to be much, much easier to keep clean and maintained. Both are quite accurate but if you like your G19 you're going to love a .45 caliber Glock. Just my totally unbiased opinion. ;E
I own a G21. My friend owns a HK USP .45. After shooting both, I like my Glock much better. The Glock's felt recoil is significantly less than the HK and the Glock sits in my hands better.
A big plus to going with the 21 over the HK is that the 21 operates in the same manner as the 19.
I love my 21, so I know I'm biased, but....
I just bought a ful-size HK USP, took it to the range once, and immediately posted it for sale. Yuck!

21 over H&K, but try the grip on for size first.

Just bought a 21 at last weekend's Houston gun show. Found it to be a delight to shoot--prefer it to the 30. I've owned lots of large-frame .45s, but this 21 is heads and shoulders above the others, even my cherished 1911A1.
Since you have a 19, it sounds like the 21 would be the logical progression. In my area, a G21 would sell for about $100 less than the HK. Plus, it is a better gun in my opinion, but some guys swear by HK. I prefer the Safe Action trigger over the conventional DA or DAO. The plethora of parts, and the ability to change them yourself is also a big plus for the Glock.

Lots of good advice in the above posts. As well as Glock parts & accessories being easier to find they are also less expensive. You will pay $40-45 for a USP magazine vs $16-20 for the G21.
Since you love your G19, and if the G21 feels good in your hand, then the G21 is the way to go.
By the way, the G21 is right at the top of my list for my next purchase, and I am also choosing it over the USP. I own both Glocks & HK's.

Can't go wrong with a 21!
Do you realize the 30 is about the same size as your 19? It's wider but the length/height are close. You could have two pistols the same size (MOL) and big holes.
I shoot a 21 and 30 and am finding I like the 30 over the 21 due to how it shoots and how it handles with full-power loads. Perhaps shoot one before you decide?

another vote for the 30. It is amazingly accurate for such a small pistol, easier to maintain and get replacement parts. Not to mention that you can easily fix the broken parts yourself in a matter of a couple of minutes, should they ever break.

I have a 21, a 21c and a 30. You can not go wrong with any of them. They are easy to clean, easy to maintain, and easy to shoot. Shot the HK, wasn't impressed. I think I would buy a Sig 220 before an HK.
I have shot my friends 30, and it was comfortable to shoot, although it had a few failure to feeds. I believe it was an isolated incident with my friends gun, as all other glock owners were shocked by it. He also owns a USP 45, and it shoots like a dream for him, although its a bit big on the grip size for my liking. I have a P220, and love it, and have no problems. What ever you decide, you'll be happy to have the 45 over the smaller rounds. If you maintain your weapon well, all the above will do fine, just decide what size grip allows you to shoot BEST.

Maverick,
You didn't mention whether or not you've tried out the Glock and the HK full-sized pistols. I don't know how big your hands are, but you would definitely want to try out those two pistols' grips before seriously considering buying them.
I have average-sized hands. I can handle a double-stack 9mm pistol's grips with no problem. But when I rented and shot the G21 and HK USP45F, ooh, boy, I could barely hung onto them! That's how big those grips are!
And no, it ain't the recoil that makes me slip the grips. I can shoot M1911 and SIG P220 just fine.

I can't shoot the 21 worth anything, though I can shoot the 30 just great. I put 400+ rounds through my 30 this weekend during OPS Dynamic Tactics, cleaned it once (habit) and the only time it choked was during a drill where I forgot to top off the mag (had 4 rounds left and thought I'd refilled it with a full one) meaning halfway through a shooting string covering my partner as he retreated I heard a "click" and everyone else heard an "Oh @&(%!" till I realized it wasn't a jam, it was an "empty" which I quickly rectified....

A friend of mine is a dyed in the wool H&K fan. But he already decided that his next pistol WILL NOT be an H&K because it takes an act of God to get any kind of parts or accessories for it. All he wanted was to convert his .45 USP compact to DAO. But he can't find anyone to do it for him or to get the nexessary part.
My Glock model 21, which is now my backup duty weapon. I prefer to carry my G30 (which I do pretty much everyday).
Good Luck!!
