anybody know much about the laws reguarding suppressors? Georgia laws in particular. If so, do you know the legal requirements for possessing one?

I'm not familiar with GA state laws, but I am with federal. You fill out a Form 4, with serial no and such of the can, take it to your local sheriff's office after you've purchased the suppressor, wait for the sheriff to approve the paperwork, then send it off to the ATF with a check for $200. After that, you wait anywhere from 2 to God knows how many weeks (average is like 6-8 right now), and they (theoretically and hopefully) send you back your tax stamp for it, in which case you can pick up the can and have some fun.

i've looked into prices on those things and they are re*******diculous. i would like to have one just so i can go out back and pop a few rounds out when i get bored, and it not piss the neighbors off. especially the one thats a local county s.o.
