Anyone ever buy a JP rifle? I was thinking about getting an upper from them, but thought that I would ask the collect Evil Black Rifle Club members if anyone has had experience with them.
Specifically, I was thinking about a JP15, maybe in 20" length.

Any comments would be appreciated.
Buy with confidence. Great rifles from a great guy.
You may hear comments from some shooters who say competition type rifles are too finicky. I have had mine for several years with no malfunctions, and my competition rifle gets beat like a rented mule at matches. JP Rifles are built to take it. Mine is the 20" barrel with Benny Cooley comp.
Saw a letter from a hired sharpshooter that uses his JP Rifles when he is hired to shoot goats on an off-shore island somewhere. (Don't remember where but the video is on you-tube) Takes two rifles in the chopper with him - shoots one until it is too hot to hold, then switches to the other while the first one cools. I can't remember how many rounds per day he goes through but the rifles hold up well.
John is also a great guy to deal with. There is a reason his rifles are the number one choice in 3-gun competitions.

Do it! Among the IPSC crowd JP's are extremely well regarded. One of the top two IIRC. The other being Triangle. I feel there's no better forearm than the JP/V-tac and I use the JP bolt carriers exclusively also. One stainless and one low mass.

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for an upper or two to buy this year, and I am probably going to make at least one of them a JP.
I have one of their adjustable gas port valves.
No issues, but I would prefer a click adjustable.
