View Full Version : Best aftermarket stock sized .40 barrel with great support? (Other than barsto)

I would like to find the closest to *stock dimension* cut rifled barrel for a G22. I need it to be as close to stock size as possible as I’d like to run it on a CCF Raceframe which is very intolerant of oversized barrels. It also MUST have the best chamber support as I have a ton of once fired “guppy” brass that I will not refire in a stock Glock barrel with minimal case support.
I AM NOT interested in Barsto - too expensive, to long a wait, too oversized, and from a .40 perspective, over engineered for an inaccurate round. (Ie. the barrel can be the best in world, but if the round is inaccurate there is only so much that can be obtained from the barrel, then you are just wasting time/money)
Thanks,
-Calvin
I'm using KKM, They make a Match Grade drop in or Gunsmith version, And they have them on-hand

So why bother to shoot such an inaccurate round in the first place? :wow:
I have never found the .40 to be an especially inaccurate round.
I have used KKM and Jarvis. Both great in my mind. I would purchase either again.

No brainer........"EFK" but note that 3rd gen Glocks pretty much have supported barrels already. Do a search as this issue has been pretty much been beat to death.

I have heard great things about the LWD Barrels. I have just not tried one...

I have... Very high quality stuff, excellent CS. And they're a lot cheaper than BarSto.

LWD Rocks, zi may have to try one of their 9mm conversion barrels...

I don't think you'd be disappointed.
I have a LW for a G24 and it is noticeably tighter and more accurate with my loads. If you are going to use anything with a CCF you might want to have it fitted. It seems several have tried aftermarket barrels against the advice of CCF and have had problems since they are made for use with stock barrels.
