Guess I'll have to send some youngster.

James Cox

Why that'll work. It's darn near impossible to find a gal my age that likes guns. I work at a gun shop, and I'm going into building them in a few years' time.

Just try finding a SINGLE guy who lies guns here in my area. Maybe they are all in Phoenix!

Sounds like we're both in the same boat. (I'm good though, guys aren't really my cup of tea ;))

Now that seemed funny, coming from a woman in this area. The other way around isn't any easier. I've been here almost all my life (born in Bisbee when it was more "normal"), but my wife's from Colorado.

After thinking about it a few minutes though, I don't know any myself. I have lots of friends and aquaintances that hunt and shoot, but they're all married now. Not very long ago...

Like ol' Hank Junior says though, "All my rowdy friends have settled down".

Not all of us are in Phoenix. Not quite in your area but I was stationed at the Fort many moons ago. No matter how many times I leave, I just keep coming back.

Good Day All,

Had a lazy Sunday morning after a day of shooting yesterday. Found this thread and thought I'll share info about some of the SE AZ regional shooting activities. Please check with the various organizations directly for more info.

Sierra Vista, shooting range is about 13 miles east of town on HWY 90:

1st SAT of each month, a defensive handgun ( revolvers / pistol ) match

3rd SUN of each month, a fun handgun match, mostly steel, bang and clang.

Douglas Shooting Park, run by Douglas Rifle and Pistol Club. < douglasgunclub.org >

1st SUN of each month, a Cowboy shoot, SASS

2nd SUN, combat handgun, based on USPSA format

3rd SUN, High power DCMP, sniper, varmint (rotating format)

4th SUN, Small Bore Rifle, NRA Silhouette

Pima Pistol Club, near Catalina AZ < pimapistol.org >

1st & 3rd SUN, is sanctioned USPSA match.

Weekends are busy if you're interested!

Be well, see you out there on the range!

After the monsoons, take a drive along Kinney.

You're close....the monsoon gives them their growth spurt, then they break off from the roots and blow away. The tumbling is what spreads their seeds.
