Anyone going for the FL CCW?

Recently just got my FID and a friend convinced me to go for the FL CCW.
At first I did not even thought about it due to not feeling to need it.
I live in NJ, why would I need to get a CCW for states, I have not visited
or plan to anytime soon. Now I have changed my mind and is eager to get.
Why? I know want to pratice the 2nd amendment.

Anyone here is going for it?

I've already recieved the application from FL.
I need to take a NRA Basic Pistol class first.
Then, finger printing.
Lastly, fill the form and send it.

The reason that people get the Fla non-resident CCW is for the "reciprocity" with other states. Once you get the Fla one you should be good for another 16-17 states....

Im over in Vegas now, my cousin and his two sons are showing me their Nevada CCW permits, lucky bastards.......

Got the Florida permit a while back. As I do not travel to reciprical states too often, I have not had the oppty to use it. Still, though, I feel it is good to have. The sad thing is that if you are traveling to PA, for example, you need to have your weapon properly contained, mags unloaded etc on this side of the river. Then, upon crossing the border, you have to stop, remove your weapon from the trunk, unlock, & load mags. Coming back to NJ means pulling over & unloading/storing to a legal condition again. Totally ridiculous situation... Not something I would do for an infrequent casual trip across the river (Of course going to Philly night be a different story) but maybe for an extended one (vacation).

Well...I just sent out yesterday both FL and UT none residents applications.
I wonder how long it will take them to process.

I'm doing some research to see what other stats will do a non resident CCW
