View Full Version : new guy with ??? on glock trigger
hi, glockers been reading form for awhile and just now got to be able to post. i have a few glocks and just a few weeks ago i bought my love a G19 in OD it is the best gun i have owned so far. ok my question, i order a lwd3.5 lb connector and a ny1 because i am looking for a better trigger setup. one because when i fire fast shots i seem to push the gun down because the way the trigger resets, hard to explain. after reading all morning about this combo and reading about what BUTCH said about the ny1 trigger i am really not thinking i want this.So can i just put in the 3.5lb connector or should i just do a .25cent job. this is a carry gun and range gun. i kinda dont like what i call the free travel of the stock trigger. i would like to hear from you people on what, and why you like your setup. also does anyone have a trigger kit from glockworxs and is it worth the money????thanks
A fancy trigger is a poor substitute for practice, practice, practice. Dave Sevigny won the world IPSC championships with a stock trigger.
dannyr, i agree with you. i had a glock22 that i shot fast and didnt have this issue are the triggers the same on the 22 vrs the 19??? also with just the 3.5lb connector what would the pull be?is it 4lbs and would that be good in a carry gun.thank you so much for the info.

The 3.5# trigger has actually been recently reclassified by Glock to reflect it's actual pull, it is now 4.5#
It is not recommended to have the lighter connector in a carry gun, just use the stock 5.5#
Polishing the connector looks good, I did it, but can't tell any difference. Shooting it will produce the same results.
Aftermarket crap is useless, unless you want something to waste your money on. The stock Glock is all you need.
My 2 cents
You could get a Glockworx trigger kit and adjust the pull weight to your liking. For a carry gun you'll want their "tactical" trigger.
The tactical trigger has about half of the slack and take-up of the factory trigger.
