View Full Version : .40 S&W to .357 Sig Barrel?
Am I correct in my research that I can buy a .357 Sig barrel for my G22, switch the barrel and shoot without any more conversions? Has anyone done this? If so, what are your thoughts? Thanks.

Yes that is the case. You need the .357 barrel for the G31 model. It will fit right into your G22 with no other modifications needed. You can even use your G22 .40 magazines. I have the same set up as you, and I just bought (last week) a factory Glock barrel from Glockmeister for $140. I also got a stainless steel guide rod and 20# spring. Everything functions flawlessly. The .357 is a lot of fun to shoot, and I would recommend doing the same. It's like having 2 guns in 1:) .

One other thing I forgot to mention. It is recommended (required?) that you have a third generation G22 if you want to shoot .357 SIG out of it. Apparently the frame/slide of the third generation models is reinforced to handle the higher slide velocity and battering of the hotter .357 rounds. A third generation G22 will have the finger grooves on the grip and accessory rail on the front of the frame. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I will place that on my wish list!

Try www.lonewolfdist.com I think they are cheaper. At least they were when I got one for my G27.
