Tell me what scope or "dot" to get for my Bushy.....

Hey guys. :) I know my handguns pretty well, but I admit that I have no idea what's going on in the whole AR market. I've always just used iron sights and never had a problem but now that my eyes are getting "less young," I find it more difficult to hold small groups at 75 - 100 yards (the distance at which I shoot racoons and opossums on my property).
I'm looking for something to help me improve my shot placement at these distances. Just checking out what's available, it's pretty overwhelming to someone who knows little about modern accessories. :wow: I'd like to spend no more than $350 including mounting hardware. Links to products would be great.

IMO I dont know that a "dot" is going to help. You might look at Ljunatic thread--"optics help". The scope he bought at the end of the thread sounds like it might be right up your alley for the money.

I really like my Aimpoint Comp ML3. I killed a deer with it at around 200 yards.

Eotech should do nicely for you. I like the Aimpoints better but they are more $$.

For the stated purpose, a 2X fixed scope like a Burris would probably do just fine. A lower-end dot like a C-More may work if you don't need magnification. For whacking varmints, no need for a military-grade scope.

If you look around a lot you may find a deal on an EOTech for under $375 or so.
