I have a new 92FS. When the hammer is cocked and you're looking at the back of the firing pin, there seems to be a cut through the firing pin hole at about the 8 o'clock position. I tried to take a picture but my camerea sucks. Is this normal (the gun, not my camera)?
Yes, it is normal. There is a sticky on the Beretta Forum that mentions it.

That is a relief cut and is perfectly normal. Berettas are one of the best designed guns out there. Have fun with your Beretta.
