When given this as an option.
What are the pros and cons of the average guy with a semi auto AR15 having the F/A BCG ?

Not much difference to be honest. Google the topic and you can pull up some pics of the difference. The only real difference is the m16 carrier is has more metal to it making it a little heavier. I am running one on my LMT 10.5 to slow it down a bit since most shorties are overgassed. Otherwise it becomes a personal choice more than anything.

I wouldn't be concerned if I were running a 20" full sized rifle, but I have a FA BCG in my 16" CAR, simply because the gas pressure in the shorter rifle gas system is greater than a full-size rifle.

If I ever buy a suppressor for it, it will be running a regulated gas tube and an MGI buffer in it, too....
