If I am patient and shop around, what is the best price can expect to pay for a new Glock 21??

I bought mine recently for $499. That's fairly good, IMO.

Is a fine price. We list ours (when we can get them) for 529 plus tax. And we are only 12% over cost.

It really depends on your area. Even within the Commonwealth of Virginia prices vary. I can buy a NIB 21 for about $560 here in C-ville. If I go an hour west I can save about $40. If I go an hour east I will probably have to spend about $40 more.

Just checked out the price of one at my dealer's today...$570
But prices in Michigan and the left coast may be very different.

Sort of makes the $300 that I paid for a like-new 3rd gen G21 w/night sights pretty good. I can't fathom paying a dealer retail for a new Glock. I've done it, but that was back when I was younger and dumber.

Thanks for the comments. That will give me a lot better idea as a start looking around.

In my opinion paying < or = $550 out the door is a good deal. This would include tax and anything else. I've found a good way to haggle price is simply to tell the merchant what you'll give him and let him make the decision.

WHEN you can find a G21 here in western Mass, they are expensive. I have one on layaway for $700. It's a used police pistol (Alaskan) with two hi-caps and a Trijicon front site. A lot? Yes. But you almost can't get them amymore up here.

If you would like one for $529 plus $25 for shipping give us a call and tell them I sent you. You may wait a week but we are not near that high. Just locate an FFL that will do the transfer cheaply and you are way ahead of the game. I took my bedroom gun out today and it was great!

I would. But. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in it's infinite wisdom, has decided that any handgun not previously registered (yes, I said registered) in this commonwealth is much to dangerous to be shipped here. As a result we have to see what comes out of the closets for any old guns.

That's actually a great Massachusetts price, especially if those preban magazines are drop-free FML ones.

But I would be moving out of that state in that case. What a crock of Bovine Scattology! What a bunch of idiots.

If it were so simple. My wife and I have talked about moving to Vermont (each for different reasons) but it would cause me one heck of a commute, plus put both of us far away from our elderly mothers. We will be moving to a more gun-friendly place when I retire, but until then I have to stay here and fight the good fight.

TopGlock.Com has them for $519.95, I have bought a G21 & G35 and a bunch of accessories from them got excellent prices and been very happy with the service. They will also add any extras you buy free of charge before they ship the gun. The only cost difference you might have is sales tax.

I found mine at a local gun show nib 3rd gen 21 for 440.00 plus tax but he would only sell one at that price as he made a mistake on pricing and would not sell me a second one at that price

FPrice, as long as your GLOCK 21 (or any GLOCK for that matter) was manufactured prior to 10/21/98 (serial number cutoff is CWT607US) then it can be shipped to your FFL and transfered to you legally. The guns that have to have been in state prior to that to be sold are the guns NOT on the "List" put out by the legislature. GLOCKs are on "the List".There was a post on this a while back. See FourSeasons website for the details.

I was in a shop here in Charlottesville today and they had a NIB 21 for $639.

Wait....

Yeah.......I typed it right...$639. I'm thinking maybe its' guts were made out of gold.

I bought my 21 from them a year ago and it was $80 less than that and I thought I paid too much then.
