So I clicked on one of the banner ads and was intrigued. Has anyone tried these sights out and if so, what are your opinions?
The idea that it might be easier to focus on in a high stress incident than a regular three dot sight picture really stood out to me. Anything that gives you a tactical advantage when the poop hits the fan seems like a good investment to me.
It would be nice if you could see a set,BUT they have been "SOLD OUT" for the last 6 months,,,they sell one item and don't have it in stock:upeyes:

You'll find a ton of info by typing suresight in the search function.
I tried. I didn't like. Hard to acquire quickly, not precise.

I wrote this back on 06-8-05 (in this forum) after having them for a while.
"These sights are great! I have been using Russian chevron sights for years and it was very easy to use the Sure Sights. I found pin point shooting not a problem. The sights shine when it comes to rapid shooting. I can't believe how they performed in rapid fire. It's very easy to focus on the target and let the sights align themselves."
I still use them everyday and wish I had a pair on my HKP2KSK. The more I use these sights the more I like them.

Everyone,
Sorry for the long silence on this board. I'm back, and our product will be shipping early August. We've got some great improvements; elevation adjustable rear, plastic inserts, tritium sight picture that mimics the daytime sight picture and more.
For those interested in seeing pics, you can visit www.suresight.com/photos.

I'm interested in this type of sight. That said, I see an advertisement here on GT for the 'Advantage' sight. This sight seems to be the same sight as your day time sight. Is it the same? What's the difference, if any?

Obviously there is not a lot we are willing to say about a competitor but we feel we have the best product available on the market. Besides, Charlie Barksdale indorses our sight J <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I understand! Wow I haven't seen Charlie in a long time! SFA Meeting in Dallas, many years ago. Say Hi for me! :wavey:
BTW: Charlie (Along with 'Batman' stayed at my home prior to going to Vietnam, the last time.

I see my prior answer didn't stick. (I been cooking, prolly forgot to hit 'submit'.)
The 2 biggest differences are the front sight (which, in the Advantage sights, is smaller and harder to 'place') and the rear sight (which, in the Advantage sights, is a solid block with no 'look thru', so as with the stock sights and the TruGlo sights, make it much easier to lose the view of the front sights momentarily).
Those 2 differences are why I'm just waiting for my next ceck to re-order a set now I've got rid of my G22 and picked up an XD.

Your going to reorder a set of SureSights — Right?

Right.
Problems had come up with the G22 and I had been keeping it only because I had sights on order. When notice came that expected delivery in July had suddenly become August, I canceled the order, got rid of the Glock and got the Springfield. That SureSight is making sights for the XD played a large part in that decision.

I'll most likely put the day SureSights on my Glock 27, when they come out with them in August. If I like them, I'll put a pair on my Glock model 20 as well.

The Advantage sights make a colored ^. The SureSights make a full colored triangle. I don't know how much difference that makes but I prefer the concept behind SureSight.
