View Full Version : Is anyone going to the Ogden gun show on the 8th?
I know it's not a big show, but I haven't been for a few years. I ws just wondering if anyone else would be there.
IIRC It's put on by Crossroads. I can't remember the name of the place it's held. It's just N north of the deppt in Ogden. There's a horse rcae track and an indorr areana in the same little area.
I don't think it's Crossroads. Here's their schedule.
If I remember correctly the shows in Ogden are put on by the 'Utah Gun Collectors Org' or something like that. I helped with security a few times with some coworkers back around 96-98. Its near the depot at the fairgrounds, at least it used to be. I haven't been to one in years.
Yeah.... The fair grounds. I'm not sure who put's it on. It's not a big show by any means. I am headed north tomorrow so I can make it on Sat. Just looking for some ammo this time around.
I went to that one in the fall a few months ago. It should be called the "old crapy rusty overpriced gun show". It was tiny and held inside the building next to the arena. Lots of antique guns and indian artifacts for sale. The only table that interested me was from Oliver at impact guns :)
I just got back. They had a larger turn out then I have seen in ten years. .40 S&W ammo was $175 for 1000 so dad bought 2000 rounds. I got a second mag for my Bersa thunder .380.
There was one booth that I thought was overpriced. I saw the new Ruger Charger for $289. That's $40 less than I've seen it in my area. Ammo and magazines were reasonable. I was impressed with this show to tell you the truth. It's not the best I have been to but it was a real improvement over the last time I was there.
After that we hit Smith & Edwards and I bought all the 55 grain .223 wolf ammo they had on the shelf. $5.59 for 20 rounds is a deal.
I just bought 100 rounds of WWB .40 S&W for $26.88 at Wal-mart. :steamed:
.40 S&W ammo was $175 for 1000 so dad Was this anonymous mystery reloads?
No, Crossfire Ammunition. I bought some of this guys .44 Mag stuff a few years ago and it was good plinking ammo. That's what we got this stuff for was plinking so I figure it'll be fine. If nothing else it's a good start for my brass pile.
Gun show reloads are friggin' scary. Best of luck with them.
