Checking it does anyone have any background on Doublestar lowers. Buds has them on sales for $99.00. Here is the link: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411534767
Is the stripped lower worth the $99.00 plus my local FFL transfer fee.

It's a good lower, but IMO a lower is lower unless it a Hess or a Blackthorn, they are junk IMO. Shop around, www.del-ton.com or www.aimsurplus.com, they have Stag lowers at pretty good prices, and I think you might come out ahead with transfer fees. You may also look at a DPMS lower at del-ton, they have them pretty cheap also.
I used a DS for a build and it was just as good as any other I have used. In fact it was better then the last CMMG I bought and was $25 less. The last 2 AR's I put together I used MEGA lowers. They are my favorite, great fit and finish.
I used a DS lower for my Sabre Defense middy and my LMT SBR. I think they work fine. I'm planning on hoarding a couple more from AIM soon.

Good to hear. I bought one from Buds a few weeks ago and will be putting it together as soon as my LPK and 6 position stock arrives. My first build.

IMO it would be fine if you put a Stag parts kit and Stag receiver extension on it.
