I have an MSI Platinum PowerUp 975x mb in a system that I am putting back together after the mb failed.
975xPlatinum V.2 with an Intel core 2 duo e6600
Currently I have 2gb of ram and I am considering going to four, but I don't know if I should scrap the 2gb that I have and go with 4gb of faster memory.
The 2gb that I have is Corsair DDR2 Twin2X Corsair part number twin2x2048-5400C4.
My question is, should I just add 2 more gigs of the same part number or should I get 4gb of something faster? Or can I add 2gb of something different to go with the first 2gb?
If you suggest (2gb to add to the original) or 4gb of something faster, than what brand and speed do you suggest?
