magazine won't lock open on empty

Glock factory .357mags won't remain locked open when they are empty. Suggestions on how to remedy this problem? Both mags are experiencing the same difficulty.

If you're right handed and have an incorrect grip, the thumb of your right hand will brush up agaist the release and hold it down, preventing it from engaging when the mag is empty...

Ditto Ninja Monkey. I had the same problem, thought it was the mags, turned out to be operator error. Check your right thumb.

Your problem can also be caused by weak mag springs. If you check your thumb postition and still find it to be a problem then it is probably the springs.

Thank you. You nailed it!! Went to the range today and that's exactly what my problem is. Soooooo, back to the drawing board with my grip. 'ppreciate your help.

It pays to be left-handed when it comes to these sort of things.:)
